Ley-Anne, the human
I am Ley-Anne Mountain, Craniosacral Therapist & Reflexologist, End of Life Doula & grief/death educator based in Central Alberta. Through out my joys and sorrows, I have always found my answers with animals. They are my safe place. They are my guides for learning. Animal-assisted activities are at the heart of my work.

It’s been some time since I was a teenager myself, but as a mom of two "young adults", witnessing and supporting them through their journeys did remind me of those teen days of my own. They weren’t easy.

it all started with a horse...
At the tender age of 16, I finally got my very own horse. My first horse, my first
love. A Christmas present that arrived
with every bit of magic and wonder you
expect a dream come true to have. I had been working at a stables for a few
years and at last, I had a horse of my very own.
Cougar and I had 10 wonderful years together. In those 10 years he supported
and led me through the growing pains of a teenager becoming a young adult.
We traveled everywhere together, from horse shows to riding clinics. We were never apart.
I learned from his life and his death.
It was one animal in particular who gave and taught me courage, love,
patience and respect.
Cougar, my first horse. It was a blend
of caring for him and becoming a Mom that led me on my path to finding my
way back to my human herd.
and a bunny...
Einstein was the bunny who started it all.
Together, we became a certified pet therapy team and worked with hundreds (seriously, hundreds :) of children in schools, dayhomes, the library and all over our community.

Having animals, there is ALWAYS a lot of clean up. Fun fact, rabbits poop over 300 poops each! 9 rabbits X 300 poops = over 2700 rabbit poops every day!
And another fun fact…bunnies can easily be litter trained😊
